Wonderful summer holiday in Val Pusteria

Terento/Terenten has plenty of activities to offer during a summer holiday. The village is a popular starting point for hiking, mountaineering and mountain biking as some of the most beautiful tours are situated in its surroundings. Even for the more unusual activities such as Icelandic horse riding, Terento/Terenten is perfectly situated. The high rope courses Kronaction in Issengo/Issing and Skytrek in Vipiteno/Strezing are a great experience for adventurers! Visit the nearby lakes and swimming pools to cool down on a hot summer day or after a day of hiking. Take a trip to Lake Issengo/Issing near Falzes/Pfalzen or visit the Cron4 adventure pool in Riscone/Reischach near Brunico/Bruneck. For those who rather have a holiday for total relaxation, the Kneipp course and the miniature golf course in the village centre are a great alternative.

Summer holiday in Val Pusteria – the cities of the region

Make sure to also the nearby town of Brunico/Bruneck. Here you will find a little shopping paradise as well as a great range of colourful events with something for every taste: frolic summer parties, hip evening concerts and classical soirées. Also the many museums in the region are well worth a visit, the South Tyrolean Folklore Museum at Teodone/Dietenheim, the City Museum in Brunico/Bruneck or the Messner Mountain Museum in Brunico Castle or on the summit of Plan de Corones/Kronplatz – for many a great cultural highlight during their holiday in Val Pusteria/Pustertal. Another great destination is the town of Bressanone/Brixen with the impressive cathedral and the Novacella/Neustift monastery, the cloister with the Gothic frescoes, the Diocesan Museum and the Pharmacy Museum. The Fugger town Vipiteno/Sterzing on the other hand impresses with the Zwölferturm tower and a variety of historic churches. If you prefer to go south, we recommend you a tour of the regional capital Bolzano/Bozen with its unparalleled Italian flair which lets you soon forget that really, you are still in Tyrol.

Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn
